In northern Peru, near the Ecuadorian border, Tabaconas is a breathtaking highland region known for its steep mountains, lush cloud forests, and extraordinary biodiversity. At elevations between 1,100 and 2,400 meters above sea level, smallholder farmers cultivate Arabica coffee on 2–5 hectare family plots, using organic, shade-grown, and sustainable practices.

As the birthplace of CENFROCAFÉ, Tabaconas has a strong tradition of cooperative farming and quality-focused production. This particular lot is fully traceable to 154 dedicated producers, each contributing coffee from their own named plot—ensuring transparency, consistency, and a strong connection to origin.

The coffee is fully washed: ripe cherries are carefully handpicked, depulped on the same day, then fermented for 24–36 hours. After washing, the beans are slowly dried on raised beds, resulting in a clean, vibrant, and well-structured cup profile.

Certified Organic and Fairtrade, this coffee reflects not only the richness of its environment but also the craftsmanship and care of the families who produce it.
